Bardsley's name is found all throughout the women's soccer record book, she ranks 10th in most games started (70) and most career saves (312), fourth most saves per game (4.33), highest save percentage (.839), lowest goals against average (0.84), most goalkeeper victories (47), most career shutouts (26) and most goalkeeper minutes played (6,395). She also holds several single season records, including second most saves (128), second most saves per game (5.82), second highest save percentage (.848), lowest goal against average (0.64), most goalkeeper victories (16), and most shutouts (10). In addition, she has the most consecutive shutout minutes with 521:35 in 2005. 

Bardsley earned an abundance of national and conference honors during her time at Cal State Fullerton. She was named to the All-West Region Third Team in 2002 and second team in 2006. Bardsley was also named a Freshman All-American Second Team in 2002 while also earning Big West Freshman of the year. 

The Chino Hills native was named Big West Goalkeeper of the Year three times in her illustrious career, doing so in 2004, 2005 and 2006. She also earned Big West honors four times, earning second team all-conference in 2002 before being named a first team selection in 2004, 2005 and 2006. Bardsley was a key factor in leading the Titans to two NCAA Tournament appearances in 2005 and 2006. 

Bardsley went on to represent England in three world cups in 2011, 2015, and 2019 and was an Olympian in 2012. She played professionally for the Skyblue FC in 2009-11 before playing for Manchester City from 2013-2022.
