Media Relations

COVERING THE TITANS
The Titans Athletics Communications office assists members of the media in covering all 18 sports teams by coordinating interviews and providing game notes, statistics and additional information needed. When referencing Cal State University, Fullerton Athletics, PLEASE USE CAL STATE FULLERTON, FULLERTON AND THE NICKNAME “TITANS.” Please refrain from using CSUF, California State University Fullerton or any other variation.

MEDIA CREDENTIALS
Media credential requests for traditional media (newspaper, dedicated websites, TV, radio, etc.) as well as non-traditional media (blogs, content creators, photographers and videographers, podcasts, etc.) must be made to the team’s respective sports information director by sports editors or sports directors of accredited media.

Requests should be made no later than 24 hours prior to the scheduled contest and should be limited to working media only. Credentials are not guaranteed by request and are limited based on space and coverage. Media members may pick up their single-game credential at the ticket booth an hour and a half before start time.

INTERVIEW POLICY
Titans Athletics respectfully asks that all interview requests, for coaches or student-athletes, be submitted through the team's media relations office at least 24 hours in advance. Players, coaches and staff should not be contacted by the media directly via telephone, e-mail or social media.

Postgame interviews will be handled in the designated media room or on the field for select sports. To organize postgame interviews, please work with the media relations contact in the press box or on press row. Interviews are not to be conducted without the presence of the sports information director unless otherwise permitted. The Titans Athletics Communications office and coaches reserve the right to deny an interview request.

PHOTOGRAPHY / VIDEOGRAPHY
According to NCAA regulations, all members of the media must remain outside of the team bench and official scorers’ area for the duration of the contest. Media personnel should always remain off of the competition arena unless otherwise permitted and may be subject to filling out a media agreement form prior to the event.

All creatives must be mobile (no tripods unless permitted by sports media contact) and may not be in a position where they may interfere with the contest or obstruct the views of fans. Flash photography is not permitted for Titan Gym sports.

MEDIA WORK SPACE
Working space in all press boxes and press tables, or in the designated press areas, are limited to working media only. Seats are reserved for media covering Cal State Fullerton Athletics on a regular basis. Requesting a credential does not guarantee a designated work space in the press area. The sports media contact will determine seating based on availability and coverage.

PHOTO / VIDEO USAGE
All photographic and video productions captured by Titans Athletics staff, freelance photographers contracted by the department, or those granted sideline access during athletic events are the exclusive property of Titans Athletics. Media outlets, including on-campus media outlets, must obtain written permission from the Titans Athletics Communications department before using Cal State Fullerton Athletics content.

PARKING
Media needing to drive onto Cal State Fullerton separate from the team bus may request a visitor parking permit by contacting the Titans Athletics Communications office AT LEAST 24 HOURS IN ADVANCE of game day. Cal State Fullerton has a new 24-hour parking permit requirement, meaning a valid permit or daily fee is required at all times.
