Box Score

FULLERTON, Calif. - Cal State Fullerton women's soccer suffered a 2-1 loss to UC Irvine in Titan Stadium on Thursday night.

Fullerton (4-8 overall, 1-2 Big West) jumped out to a 1-0 lead at the 7:40 mark thanks to Brown's goal. Samantha McKenna played Delaney Dombek Lindahl up the wing and then Lindahl's cross went all the way to the back post where Brown was waiting. She took a touch to control and then blasted home her fourth goal of the season and the 13th of her career.

The Anteaters equalized at the 49:02 mark off a corner kick. Titans goalkeeper DeAira Jackson parried the first shot but it went right to Laila El Behery who headed it home.

UCI took the lead at the 65:13 mark off an own goal by the Titans.

Next up, the Titans host Long Beach State on Sunday at 5 p.m. PT. The match in Titan Stadium will be broadcast live on ESPN+ as well.
