BIG WEST RELEASE
IRVINE, Calif. - It was announced by the conference on Monday that RS-Senior goalkeeper was named the Big West Defensive Player of the Week.
Isaac Ranson picked up his 10th and 11th clean sheet of the season this week in a scoreless draw against UC Irvine and a 1-0 win against Long Beach State. In the match against the Anteaters, the Titans defense held the Anteaters to just seven shots with zero on goal. In the match against the Beach, Ranson tied a season-high with seven saves as the Beach had 16 shots for the game.Â
Isaac Ranson is second in the country with 11 individual shutouts. Ranson also has the fourth best goals against average in the country for the season with a .42 clip Ola Goebel (1st/Dartmouth/.35), Daphne Nakfoor (2nd/UCLA/0.36), Abby Kudla (3rd/Memphis/.41).  However, the first place girl from Dartmouth has only played in 9 games. The Titans have 12 shutouts for the season, tied with UCLA and Memphis for second best in the country. Tennessee and Dayton are first in the country with 13 shutouts.  The Titans are tied with Tennessee for third fewest goals allowed in the country with seven.  UCLA leads the nation 5 and Memphis leads with 6.
This is the ninth weekly honors that the goalkeeper has won during his tenure at Fullerton and his eighth defensive player of the week honor. This is the sixth player of the week honor for the Titans women's soccer team in the 2025 season. Â
Isaac Ranson was the defensive player of the week in week one,
Isabella Cruz was the offensive player of the week in week 2,
Sail Bozinovic was the offensive player of the week in week 5,
Isaac Ranson was the defensive player of the week in week 6, and
Camryn Cruz was the offensive player of the week in week 8.Â
Isaac Ranson has moved into a tie for first place all time in the Big West with career player of the week honors with 9 honors with Elise Krieghoff from Cal Poly*. However, the Big West record book doesn't consider Freshman of the Week honors as part of that total, so Ranson is in second place with eight player of the week honors.Â
The Titans close out the regular season on Thursday at Cal State Bakersfield. The Titans and Roadrunners have both already clinched their spot in the Big West Championship and will be playing for a higher seed. Â
