FULLERTON, Calif. - Cal State Fullerton women's water polo defeated Cal State East Bay in a 9-5 victory at home on Thursday. The Titans improve to 11-15 overall.

Cal State East Bay beat the Titans to scoring the first goal, but Delaney Wilder evened the score three minutes into the game.

East Bay was quick to retake the lead, but two goals by Kieran Scout Bates put the Titans on top, where they would remain for the rest of the game.

Scout Bates added one more goal to the board in the third period and assisted three goals in completing her hat trick.

Mia Solorzano sent a rocket passed the goalie on a penalty shot before the end of the half to increase Fullerton's lead over East Bay, 5-2. Solorzano found the back of the net again in the third period.

Delaney Wilder contributed two goals to the 9-5 win, while Kylie Corwin and Gabrielle Zaretskiy added a goal each. Zaretskiy's goal came with less than a minute and a half left of play to cap off the scoring. 

Haden Skye Bates was in the goal for the Titans and earned her 12th win of the season. Skye Bates saved 10 of the 15 shots fired at her and had four steals at the end of the game.

The Titans will resume conference play Friday night as they host Hawai'i at 7 p.m. PT.
