FULLERTON, Calif. –   The Titans women's tennis team have made their third straight win at home against Azusa Pacific on Thursday.

It was a shaky start for the Titans as they opened the match up with doubles. Right out the gates, at No. 2 and No. 3 doubles, the Titans were down 2-3 on both courts. No. 1 (Eira Tobrand/Misaki Kobayashi) doubles started out strong by taking the lead at 2-1. 

Both duos, Camila Garcia/Jadie Acidera  and Natalie Duffy/ YuSeung Suh quickly flipped the script to take the lead in both of their matches. The Titans took charge to win points both at the net and baseline. No. 2 doubles found their groove and came out on top by beating their opponents 6-3.  It would take the win at No. 3 doubles to secure the point for the Titans and head into singles with a 1-0 lead over the Cougars.  

Heading into singles the Titans knew they had to bring it against a scrappy team. YuSeung Suh was the first Titan to get the win over the Cougar, Carolyn Brooner (6-2, 6-1) to bump the team up to 2-0. Right after the first singles win, No. 2 Eira Tobrand completed her match with a victory of 6-4, 6-0. 

Four matches remained as the Titans looked to get the final singles point to clinch the win over the Cougars. After losing the first set 2-6,  No. 5 Camila Garcia fought her way back into the match to win the second set 6-2 and go into a third set. With Camila holding off her opponent, Juliette Daries was able to finish her opponent (6-1, 6-3) and locked in the win for the Titans. 

 The final score for the Titans was 4-0.
