FULLERTON, Calif. – Cal State Fullerton began its busy week with a 5-2 victory over Colorado State on Wednesday afternoon at the Titan Tennis Courts.

With the win, Fullerton improves to 9-9 in 2013, totaling the most wins for the program since the 2004 club finished the year with a 12-10 record. The Rams fall to 2-8 this year.

Fullerton started the match with a 1-0 lead after sweeping all three doubles matches.

In singles action, Morgan McIntosh improved to 9-7 this season, and won her third consecutive contest with a 6-3, 6-3 victory over Abby Stevens at No. 2 in the lineup.

The bottom half of the Titan lineup then won the final three matches for the Titans.

Sophomore Kalika Slevcove (9-7) defeated Adriana Wojakowska in three sets, 4-6, 6-1, 6-2, at the No. 4 position in the lineup, while Megan Sandford edged Mollie Cooper, 6-3, 6-0, at No. 5. With the win, Sandford is now 9-5 in 2013.

Rebekkah Ermac rounded out the lineup with a 6-4, 6-1 victory over Maddie Buxton at No. 6 in the lineup.

Fullerton returns to action on Thursday, hosting Wyoming at 2 p.m. at the Titan Tennis Courts. The Titans close the week hosting Pacific at 10 a.m. on Sunday in Big West action.
