UC Riverside strung together a couple of singles before a throwing error by the Titans allowed a Highlanders run to score.
In the fourth inning, with runners on first and second, Nick Miller came through with an RBI single to bring home Eli Lopez and extend the Titans lead to 7-1. The Titans had a perfectly timed hit and run/double steal called which allowed Lopez to score from second on the softly hit ball through the left side of the infield.Â

Later in the inning, a blooper in right center field by Lopez dropped between the Riverside defense allowing Ortega to score from third base, putting the Titans up 9-1.Â

The senior earned the win Thursday night to improve to 5-2 on the year while lowering his season ERA to 1.74 which ranks second in the conference. With tonight's performance, five out of Negrete's eight starts have been quality starts.Â
