FULLERTON, Calif.– Joshua Ward was named Big West Player of the Week after two strong performances that led the Titans to a 2-0 week against Long Beach and Cal Poly. The senior from Memphis, Tennessee is the second Titan to win the weekly honor this season.
Ward posted 39 points, 17 rebounds, 11 assists, seven steals and four blocks over the two wins.
The senior guard dominated in front of the home crowd on Beat the Beach night, tallying 21 points, nine rebounds, four assists, four steals and a block. Ward was also six for six at the charity stripe. On Saturday, he logged 18 points on the road and tallied eight rebounds, seven assists, three steals and three blocks against the Mustangs.
Ward leads the Titans with 322 points, 107 field goals made and 70 assists. The senior has 104 rebounds, 38 steals and 13 blocks in his first year at Cal State Fullerton.
The Titans are back in action on Saturday, Jan. 31 at UC Santa Barbara.
