FULLERTON, Calif. – After leading Cal State Fullerton to a 2-0 week with outstanding performances against UC San Diego and Cal State Northridge, Christian Williams was named Big West Player of the Week. The freshman from St. Louis, Missouri is the first Titan to win the weekly honor since the 2023-2024 season.
 
Williams shined on the court last week, leading to his first collegiate conference honor on Monday. He tallied 43 points, 10 rebounds, seven assists and seven steals over the two games and sunk 11 of his 22 attempted shots beyond the arc.
 
On Thursday at UCSD, Williams recorded a season-high 22 points, shot 57% and tallied six three pointers for the second time this season. The six-foot guard also had three assists and three steals on the road. In the Titans return to Titan Gym, he logged 21 points, five three-pointers, eight rebounds, four assists and four steals against the Matadors.
 
The freshman now leads the Titans in made three-pointers and steals with 37 of each. He has 174 points on the season and is shooting .444. Williams adds 77 rebounds, 46 assists and three blocks to his impressive stat line this season.
 
Williams and the Titans are back in action this Thursday at UC Davis at 6 p.m.
