Titans Post Three New School Records in Another Historic Performance

FULLERTON, Calif. - The Cal State Fullerton Titans traveled to Azusa Pacific and Mt. SAC to compete in the Bryan Clay Invitational and the Mt. SAC Relays this past week.

Expectations were high as Fullerton has 21 athletes nationally ranked in the top 100 and eight in the top 50. They did not disappoint.

Alyssa Heinlein was the first to crack the top of the all-time leader board for Fullerton in the Women's 400m Hurdles with a time of 59.59 at the Mt. SAC Relays. That performance overtakes the 2016 record set by India Owens by six-hundredths of a second.

For the second time in a week, the Men's 4x100 team broke the school record. This time around it was John Clifford, Carter Birade, Dominic Gates, and Ian Dossman who finished with a time of 39.22 at the Mt. SAC Relays to clip last week's record by one-hundredth of a second.

Joshua Hornsby also got his name atop the all-time record books for Fullerton with his time of 13.51 that he posted in the Men's 110m Hurdles at the Mt. SAC Relays. Hornsby is now ranked 12th in the nation in the event as the Titans hit the home stretch of the regular season.

The women's 4x100 team also was also in postseason form as they finished second at the Mt. SAC Relays with a time of 45.47. Jayde Charlton, Nancy Dematte, Ashely Odiase, and Brooklyn Davis moved into second place all-time for the Titans.

In the Women's 100m, Ashely Odiase finished with a time of 11.67 which was good enough for fifth place all-time at Fullerton. This is the second time she has reached the top five all-time list in a week.

In the Women's 200m Dash at the Mt. SAC Relays, Nancy Dematte finished with a time of 24.02 to place herself sixth all-time for the Titans.

Livingston got her name in the all-time record books for the second time of the meet in the Women's 200m Dash with a time 24.25 to move into eighth place.

On the men's side, Dossman finished the 200m Elite with a time of 20.97 at the Mt. SAC Relays to place himself in seventh all-time for Fullerton.

Donovan Garcia is now in the top 10 all-time at Fullerton with his 52.39 performance in the 400m Hurdles at the Mt. SAC Relays.

Jonathan Pfeiffer finished the Men's 800m Invite with a time of 1:49.99. That time places Pfeiffer in 60th place in the NCAA's and fourth all-time for Cal State Fullerton. Pfeiffer also finished the Men's 800m Elite at Mt. SAC with a time of 1:50.14 to move into fifth place all-time at Cal State Fullerton.

Natalyn Membrano finished the Women's 800m with a time of 2:10.42 to move into sixth place all-time for the Titans.

On the field side of the competitions, Jocelyn Alexander did what she needed to to move herself into seventh place all-time for the Titans with a mark of 13.66m in the Women's Shot Put.  Alexander also had a throw of 44.17m in the Women's Discus Throw to rank ninth all-time at Fullerton.

Kyliegh Wilkerson had a mark of 47.80m in the Women's Discus Throw to move into sixth place all-time for the Titans

Camren Willis had a mark of 7.62m in the Men's Long Jump at the Mt. SAC Relays which was far enough to move into 3rd all-time at Fullerton.

Rahsaan Dozier also moved into the top 10 with his distance of 7.51m to move into seventh all-time in the Long Jump.

Jayden Epps had a mark of 49.16m in the Men's Discus Throw. That throw now moves Epps into eighth place all-time.

In the distance category, Tony Chavez finished the Men's 5000m with a time of 14:12.45. Chavez gets his name in the Fullerton record books for fourth all-time in the event.
