Irvine, Calif. – Keith Orona led the Cal State Fullerton Titans in the men's decathlon at the Big West Championship Multis at UC Irvine on Friday and Saturday.

Dominic Tubbs also represented Fullerton at the conference championships.
Osola and Walker competed in the women's heptathlon. Osola finished in eighth with 5228 points and Walker tallied 5130 points, finishing in ninth. Osola's best performance came in the 100m hurdles where she finished in second with a time of 13.81. Walker's best performance was in the 800m with a 2:18.29 third place time.
Osola finished at the 25.00 mark in the 200m, nabbing fifth place and recorded a seventh place 2:21.75 time in the 800m. Her best jump was the high jump where she posted a 1.56m mark. She went on to log a 5.31m long jump. Osola's 37.66m javelin performance was the best of her throws as she posted 10.77m in the shot put.
Walker logged a 25.20 time in the 200m and 14.98 in the 100m hurdles. She finished in fourth in both the high jump (1.62m) and long jump (5.76m). Walker recorded an 11.32m shot put and 28.14m javelin throw.
Orona tallied a program-best 7675 points, finishing in second place. He tallied two first place finishes, five second place finishes and two third-place finishes; pole vault (4.31m) and 1500m (4:42.27). His first-place finishes came in the discus (46.71m) and javelin (60.39m). He nabbed the silver in the first five events of the decathlon; 100m (11.18), long jump (6.98m), shot put (14.83m), high jump (1.97m), and 400m (50.51). Orona also posted a 15.57 mark in the 110m hurdles, finishing in fourth.
Tubbs finished in sixth with 6400 points. His best performance came in the 1500m where he recorded a 4:42.17 second place finish. In shot put, he posted a 12.23m fifth place finish. He recorded a 41.64m third place mark in the discus throw and capped the throws with a 53.28m mark. Tubbs recorded a 6.16m long jump, 1.79m high jump, and 4.01m pole vault. He finished in sixth in the 400m (53.44), seventh in the 110m hurdles (17.08) and posted a 12.06 in the 100m.
Gater finished with 5870 points in the men's decathlon, placing eighth. He finished in third place in both the 400m (52.01) and the 100m hurdles (15.19). In the 100m, Gater finished in fifth at the 11.55 mark and posted a BLANK mark in the 1500m. On the field, Gater recorded a fifth-place high jump at the 1.85m mark and a 6.29m sixth place, long jump. He posted a 3.91m pole vault, 31.17m discus throw and finished off the Big West Multis with a 31.75m javelin throw.
The Titans will be back in action for the second weekend of the Big West Championships in Long Beach next weekend, May 15 and 16.
