FULLERTON, Calif. - The Titans Men's Track and Field Team has earned their second Big West Track Athlete of the Week honors on the men's side.
Isaiah Emerson, the junior out of Torrance High School, is the second Titan to win the award in the last two weeks.
Emerson ran the first leg of a record breaking race for Fullerton in the men's 4x100 relay. The team finished their event with a time of 39.23 to break the school record for Cal State Fullerton and move their ranking to 12th overall in the NCAA's.
Emerson also competed in the 400m dash and finished with his season's best time of 46.89 which is good for fifth all-time for the Titans. Emerson is now in the top 100 in the NCAA's and is currently sitting in 80th place in the event.
Emerson completed his busy day by putting his name in the record books for the third time of the meet as he finished second in the 200m with a time of 21.03 for 10th all-time for Fullerton.
The Titans are back in action Wednesday, April 16 at Azusa Pacific to compete in the Bryan Clay Invitational, as well as Friday, April 18 at Mt. SAC to compete in the Mt. SAC Invite.
