Titans Record 18 Medals At Challenge Cup Classic

The Fullerton Titans Track and Field team hosted the Challenge Cup Classic on Friday.

FULLERTON, Calif. – The Titans recorded 22 podium finishes on Friday when Fullerton hosted the Challenge Cup Classic. The men's team tallied 125 points, finishing in second while the women logged 116, finishing in third.
 
The Titans kicked off the 2026 Challenge Cup Classic with field events. Hagop Marmarian and Aidan Cornthwaite competed in the men's hammer throw where Cornthwaite recorded a 42.21m personal best and Marmarian logged a fourth-place finish with a 53.71m mark.
 
Jocelyn Alexander led the Titans on the women's side with a fifth place, 53.17m finish. Alex Sheldon and Brielle Moseley finished behind in ninth and 11th, both recording personal bests; 48.41m (Sheldon) and 46.33m (Moseley). Abigail Reichard also competed in the event, recording a 38.90m throw.
 
Judah Withey logged the first podium finish of the day for Fullerton in the men's discus throw, with a 49.51m personal-best, finishing in second. Cornthwaite competed alongside Withey and recorded a personal-best 39.67m mark. On the women's side, Reichard recorded a personal-best 41.47m mark with her sixth-place finish. Kaylah McNairy, Moseley, and Natalie Buffolino also competed.
 
Brayden Bitter recorded a first place, 17.08m finish in the men's shot put where Withey posted a personal-best 15.77m fifth place mark. Marmarian also competed in the shot put, rounding out the top 10 with a 14.76m mark. On the women's side, Alexander finished in fourth with a 13.71m mark, Sheldon finished with a 12.64m mark and McNairy finished right behind with a 12.40m throw.
 
The Titans then moved into jumps where Sydney Roquebrun logged a 5.81m long jump, scoring gold. On the men's side, Caleb Mabins recorded a 7.14m second place finish with Camren Smith and Brasen Durkalec right behind in fourth and sixth. 
 
Roquebrun made her way onto the podium again in the triple jump with a third place, 11.24m jump. Rahsaan Dozier also finished on the podium in the triple jump with a second place 14.47m jump. Gabriel Ikolo competed alongside Dozier, recording a 13.65m jump.
 
Carissa Martinez finished in third place with an 11.24m high jump and the Ikolo brothers closed out the field events on the podium in the men's high jump. Sebastian Ikolo finished at the top of the podium with a 2.06m mark. His brother, Gabriel Ikolo finished just .05m behind in second place.
 
The women's 4x100m team got the running events started with a 44.77 finish. Jazzmin Williams, Nancy Dematte, Arionn Livingston, and Brooklyn Davis ran a first-place finish, the first podium finish for the Titans on the track side of the Challenge Cup Classic.
 
Dylan Jubak led the Titans to another gold medal with his personal-best 3:51.06 finish in the men's 1500m. Diego Mejia also made the podium with a 3:54.47 finish, also a personal-best. Matthew Kubler and Carlos Maradiaga also recorded new personal bests in the men's 1500m. On the women's side, Shandy Moore, Grace Toriz and Natalie Maahs nabbed personal bests.
 
Bella Turner matched her personal best in the women's 100m hurdles with a second place 14.12 time. Starla Skiles also ran, posting a 14.95 time.
 
The Titans kept scoring gold as Ian Dossman tallied another to Fullerton's name. Dossman recorded a 47.38 personal best finish in the men's 400m while Kofi Rossi and Dominic Gates joined him on the podium with 48.07 and 48.29 finishes. Fernando Valenzuela and Bradley Riehl also represented the Titans with new personal bests. On the women's side of the 400m, Jaiden Hill and Brooklyn Harris finished in fourth and fifth.
 
Jahzara Davis kept the golden momentum with a first-place finish in the women's 100m dash. Her 11.62 time was a personal best, leading eight athletes. Parker Harrison made his way onto the podium with a 10.58 third place finish on the men's side.
 
In the men's 400m hurdles, Vincent Carnegie recorded a third place, 54.69 finish. Niccolo Owens also ran and finished in fifth. Starla Skiles represented the Titans on the women's side with a 1:05.06 finish.
 
Isaiah Emerson, Devin Bragg, Parker Harrison, and Rider Cooper all finished in the top 10 of the men's 200m. Bragg's 21.37 time was a personal-best.
 
Nancy Dematte logged a 23.79 second place finish, recording a personal best. Arionn Livingston, Brooklyn Davis and Alyssa Heinlein also competed in the event, each finishing in the top 10.
 
The Titans 4x400m relay teams closed out the Challenge Cup Classic on the podium. The men's team clocked a first place, 3:17.19 finish while the women's team finished in third with a time of 3:56.04.
 
The Titans are back in action next weekend at the Bryan Clay Invite on April 17th and 18th.
