FULLERTON, Calif. - The Cal State Fullerton Titans opened up their outdoor track and field season on Friday and Saturday as they hosted their annual Ben Brown Invite track meet at the Titans Track and Field Complex.
The Titans inaugural meet of the 2025 season was a successful one as the Titans won nine golds, eight silvers, and nine bronzes on their way to finishing the meet leading all teams in combined medals won.
Ian Dossman started his sophomore season in record breaking fashion as he won the 200m with a 20.65, which broke the Fullerton school record, eclipsing the previous mark of 20.90 set by Cooper Bibbs back in 2022.

Dossman, still hungry for gold, blew by the competition in the men's 100m with a time of 10.31 which won him the event and placed him third all-time at Fullerton.Â
John Clifford took second in the 100m with a 10.36 which was good for seventh all-time at Fullerton, and Dominic Gates finished third in the event with a 10.41.
Marco Perez and Talman Young both raced their way into the top ten in the 5000m at the Astro AI Distance Classic with times of 13:56.96 and 14:24.25 respectively which were good enough for third and eighth all-time at Fullerton.
On the women's side of the track, Natalyn Membreno ran a 2:12.50 in the 800m for seventh all-time in Titans history, and Arionn Livingston finished with a 54.70 in the 400m which placed her eighth best in Fullerton history.

Hawkin Miler was the first of the field competitors to win gold with his mark of 57.87m in the hammer throw which was also strong enough for seventh all-time at Cal State Fullerton.Â
Miller also moved into fifth all-time at Fullerton in the shot put with a throw of 17.70m which was slightly behind his teammate Brayden Bitter who finished the event with a throw of 17.94 that won the event and placed him fourth all-time in the Titans record book.

Kyler Headley threw a 49.89m in the discus to finish sixth at the Ben Brown Invite and to move into sixth all-time at Fullerton.
The Titans are back in action next Friday, March14 at The Challenge Cup at UC Irvine.
