Cooper Earns Opening Week MPSF Honor

Rider Cooper's performance at the Silver State Invitational earned him the first MPSF Male Athlete of the Week of the 2025-26 season.

FULLERTON, Calif. – The Mountain Pacific Sports Federation announced on Tuesday that Rider Cooper was named Male Athlete of the Week after his opening week performance. Tuesday's honor is Cooper's first career MPSF Athlete of the Week award.
 
The sophomore from Irvine, Calif. ran a record-breaking 46.63 time in the men's 400m dash on Saturday at the Silver State Invite. Cooper finished in first of seven athletes, breaking the Titans program record by 0.63. His nation-leading performance also broke the Reno Sparks Convention Center all-time facility record.
 
Cooper also competed in the men's 200m and finished in fifth with a personal-best time of 21.41. He is now 11th in the nation in the 200m.
 
Cooper and the Titans will head back to Reno on Jan 16 and 17 for the Nevada Invitational as they continue to open the 2025-26 season and look to break more records.
