FULLERTON, Calif. — Highlighted by a new men's 110m hurdles school record from Matthew Uballe, the Cal State Fullerton men's track and field team outscored Pepperdine and UC Irvine to win the Battle in the OC Thursday at home. The women's team placed second behind the Anteaters.

Uballe became the first person in program history to run the men's 110m hurdles in under 14 seconds, winning the event with a school-record-setting time of 13.87. The time is the fastest in The Big West so far this season. Uballe bested the previous record of 14.04 set by Charles Kelly last season.
