FULLERTON, Calif. – The Big West named Titans junior, Nancy Dematte, the women's track athlete of the week on Tuesday afternoon. Dematte is the second Titan this season to earn the weekly conference honor.  
 
Dematte ran a 53.22 time in the women's 400m at the UCLA Legends Meet on Saturday. The Italy native placed first in the event and recorded the second-best finish in program history. Her performance on Saturday was also a new personal best, knocking out her previous time of 54.32. Tuesday's award is Dematte's first ever conference award.
 
The Titans are back in action this weekend at the Texas Relays and Bobcat Invitational beginning Wednesday, April 1.
