FULLERTON, Calif. - Cal State Fullerton was never able to get anything going Friday afternoon as the Titans suffered a 3-0 sweep at the hands of SMU Friday afternoon at the Johnson Center in Albuquerque, N.M.

The Titans (0-4) struggled with their offense against the Mustangs (3-1) as they hit just .077 (26-19-91) as a team. Fullerton never led and were held to 12 points in the first set, the lowest total for a game this season.

Kyra Hill led the Titans with six kills while Kandace Thomas and Summer Kerins each added five. Mackenzie Olsen dished out 21 assists and Paige Reed had 11 digs.

For SMU, Abbey Bybel led the team with eight kills while Kristen Stehling and Katie Hegarty added seven apiece. Janelle Giordano had 35 assists and set the Mustangs to a .250 (40-16-96) attacking percentage. Morgan Heise led the defense with 15 digs.

The Titans will return to action Saturday for a pair of matches to wrap up the Lobo Classic. They will take on the host Lobos at noon and then face Santa Clara at 4 p.m. PT.
