Box Score RIVERSIDE, Calif. – The Cal State Fullerton women's volleyball team battled through four sets before falling 3-1 (20-25, 26-24, 16-25, 24-26) to Cal Baptist at Van Dyne Gym on Thursday night. 

Ketesia Hall led the Titans with 14 kills on .297 hitting, adding five blocks and 11 digs. Hannah Hass added nine kills on .500 hitting with four blocks. Kahea Carvalho paced the offense with 33 assists and recorded seven digs. Together, the Titans hit. 147 to Cal Baptist's .164, tallying 47 kills and marking their 333rd kill of the season. 

After dropping the first set 25-20, Fullerton responded with a second-set win to tie the match at 1-1. The Titans opened the set trailing 3-0 before battling through eight ties and three lead changes. Lira Pukl Verdel tied the set up at 23-23, before Emilia Graham secured the final three Titan points with a kill, a block assist with Pukl Verdel, and a Lancer attack error.

The Lancers responded with a dominant third set, capitalizing on Fullerton's several attack and blocking errors. In the fourth set, the Titans kept pace with the Lancers through eight ties and several lead changes, erasing a 22-20 Cal Baptist lead with a kill by Sarah Schubert that tied the set at 24-24. Fullerton fended off two match points, but the Lancers closed it out with consecutive points for a 26-24 win. 

The Titans return to action Friday at The Joust, taking on New Mexico at 3:00 p.m.
