LONG BEACH, Calif. – The Cal State Fullerton women's tennis team suffered a 6-1 loss to No. 46 Long Beach State at the Rhodes Tennis Center on Friday afternoon.

The 49ers improved to 3-1 on the year and 2-0 in Big West play, while the Titans dropped to 1-2 on the year and 0-1 in league play.

Fullerton was swept in doubles play, dropping the doubles point to LBSU. Long Beach State garnered wins in positions 1-5 in the lineup, but junior Jessica Pepa recorded a win at No. 6 with a 6-4, 4-6, 10-4 victory over Laura Eales.

Freshman Camille De Leon suffered her first loss of the year, falling 6-0, 6-4 to Julie Gerard at the No. 3 spot in the lineup.

The Titans return to action at 9 a.m., Saturday, hosting Nevada at the Titan Tennis Courts.
