FULLERTON, Calif. - The Cal State Fullerton Titans women's tennis team dropped a close one at home against the No. 73 ranked Cal Poly 4-3 on Friday afternoon at the Titan Courts.

Despite having a 1-0 advantage after doubles, the Titans once again faltered in singles against their opponent.  The Titans fell to 12-6 overall and 5-2 in conference play.

The Titans won the doubles point behind No. 1 Emilie Lugon-Moulin/Seha Yu winning 6-1 and No. 3 Milena Gevorgyan/Madison Schwarz winning 6-2.

In singles play, the Mustangs took a 3-2 lead over the Titans after two straight set wins on Courts 3 and Court 1.  Dana Kunza won the first set on Court 6 but Sarah MacCallum won the three setter to give the Mustangs a 3-2 lead.

After dropping the first set and winning the second, Emilie Lugon-Moulin pushed Court 2 to the brink but Jessica MacCallum won the three set battle to clinch the match for the Mustangs with their fourth point.  Seha Yu and Alexandra Ozerets played out the final game on Court 4 where Yu prevailed in three sets 7-6 (7-5), 3-6, 7-5

The Titans host No. 43 UC Santa Barbara on Sunday at 11:00 a.m., pending the weather.
