FULLERTON, Calif.- The Cal State Fullerton men's golf team is 10-over par with a score of 294 and is sitting in seventh place after a round of play at the Arizona Intercollegiate at Vistoso Golf Club hosted by the University of Arizona. Second round play was suspended due to darkness at 5:45 MST and will continue tomorrow at 8 a.m. MST.
After the first round, TCU is in the lead with an overall score of 280 (-4), followed by University of California (-3, 281), Liberty (-2, 282), Arizona (-2, 282), and New Mexico (+1, 285).
With a total score of 65 (-6) through day one, University of California's Joel Stalter is in the lead.
Fullerton junior
Corey Gard is having a strong showing in Tucson. He is tied for 11
th place after his first 18 holes with an even score of 71. Sophomore
Ryan Tetrault is tied for 22
nd with an overall score of 73 after finishing Monday.
Senior
Dakota Duerr rounded out the first round shooting a 74 (+3) and is currently tied for 31
st place in the standings.
Mark Anguiano shot a 76 in round one, and is tied for 50
th place. Redshirt freshmen shot a 78 and is tied in 70
th place.
The 54-hole Arizona Intercollegiate will conclude tomorrow at Vistoso Golf Club, a par 71, 6,932-yard layout. For live tournament results, go to
