Men's Golf Finishes Last at Duck Invite

Dante Lazare cards an eagle in his third tournament of the season

EUGENE, Ore. – The Cal State Fullerton men's golf team finished in 15th place after shooting 55-over par 907 at the Duck Invite, hosted by the University of Oregon, on Tuesday. 

Will Tanaka finished the tournament tied for 25th place with a score of 6-over par 219 (75-71-73). Tanaka was the only Titan to finish in the Top 50, recording four birdies in 54 holes. 

Shibo Wang shot 17-over par 230 (77-79-74 to tie for 73rd place and recorded eight birdies. Dante Lazare (79-73-80) and Giacomo Comerio (78-73-81) finished tied for 77th place with a score of 19-over par 232. They both had an efficient second round, which featured an eagle by Lazare on the par-5 13th hole. 

Brenden Ashman rounded out the Titans' lineup in a shared 84th place after shooting 23-over par 236 (82-78-76). His best round came in the final 18 holes, when he putted for two birdies. 

The Titans hit the green at the Wyoming Cowboy Classic on March 31 and April 1 in Maricopa, AZ.
