PALM DESERT, Calif. – Cal State Fullerton men's golf finished in 16th place after shooting 21-over par 885 at the Wyoming Desert Intercollegiate, hosted by the University of Wyoming at the Classic Club. As a team, the Titans recorded 37 birdies across three rounds of play.Â
Will Tanaka led the Titans with a shared 34th-place finish with a score of even-par 216 (73-70-73). Tanaka putted in for a birdie 12 times across three rounds, the most by Fullerton's starting five.Â
Tankaka jumped ahead of
Giacomo Comerio, who led the Titans in Monday's opening round with a score of even-par 72. Comerio shot 2-over par 218 and concluded his time in Palm Desert tied for 46th place.
Shibo Wang finished the tournament tied for 95th place after shooting 13-over par 229 (77-75-77), while
Chase Yukawa (21-over par 237) and
Brenden Ashman (26-over par 242) rounded out Fullerton's lineup.
The Titans return to action on March 2-3 at The Watney Invitational hosted by Fresno State at the San Joaquin Country Club.Â
