Fayetteville, Ark. – The Titans sent sixteen athletes to the NCAA Track and Field West First Round on Wednesday and wrapped up the meet on Friday evening. The men's 4x100m relay team punched their ticket to the NCAA Championship in Eugene, Oregon on June 10-13 as well as
Ian Dossman in the 100m and 200m and
Abel Jordan in the 100m.
DAY ONE
On the first day of the 2026 NCAA Outdoor Track and Field West First Round, the Titans male athletes represented Fullerton. Dossman and Jordan qualified to compete in the 100m quarterfinals on Friday. Dossman also qualified for the 200m quarterfinals.
Jordan finished second in his heat, and 10
th overall, at 10.19, automatically qualifying for the next round. Dossman qualified with one of the next six best times. He finished fourth in his heat with a time of 10.26. The pair of Titans both etched their names into the Fullerton record book, ranking third and seventh.
Dominic Gates also ran for the Titans and finished seventh in his heat with a 10.40 time.
Luke Hitchcock ran in the men's 800m where he clocked a 1:48.29 time. His first-round performance ranks second all-time in program history but missed the mark that would have sent him to Friday's quarterfinals.
Dossman ran a 20.54 time in the 200m first round, sending him to Friday's heat. He finished first in his heat and fourth overall, ranking second in program history.
Rider Cooper also competed in the event and ran a 21.33 time, finishing sixth in his heat.
On the field,
Hawkin Miller posted an 18.33m shot put, also making its way into the record books at no. 7. Miller's first round mark was unfortunately not enough to send him to Eugene.
DAY TWO
The women took the stage on Thursday in Fayetteville.
Jahzara Davis and
Alyssa Heinlein represented the Titans in hurdles and
Arionn Livingston raced in the 400m dash while
Natalyn Membreno competed in the 800m.
Membreno had the highest finish for the Titans of the day, finishing in 27
th. She ran a personal-best 2:05.54, putting her at no. 2 all time at Cal State Fullerton.
Davis ran a 13.56 mark in the 100m hurdles where she finished eighth in her heat and 36
th overall. Her first-round mark also put her in the record books, ranking seventh all time.
Livingston and Heinlein both finished in 46
th in their respective events. Livingston ran a 54.17 time in the 400m, finishing seventh in her heat. Heinlein clocked a 1:01.82 time in the 400m hurdles, also finishing seventh in her heat.
DAY THREE
The men's 4x100m relay team kicked off the final day of the NCAA West First Round for the Titans with a ticket to the National Championships in Eugene, Oregon.
Isaiah Emerson, Jordan, Gates, and Dossman put together a new program best time of 38.93, finishing third in their heat and fifth overall.
Dossman and Jordan competed in the quarterfinals of the men's 100m dash and each punched a ticket to Eugene. Jordan broke the school record with a 10.10 mark, finishing fourth in his heat and sixth overall. Dossman also finished fourth in his heat with a 10.20 time and claimed the final spot to advance to the semifinals.
Dossman went on to qualify for the semifinals in the 200m dash with his record-breaking time of 20.15. Dossman finished first in the event and set the new program and conference record.
The men's 4x400m relay team finished out the running events in Fayetteville.
Rider Cooper, Gates, Emerson and
Christopher Goode clocked a 3:06.15 time, finishing in 16
th.
On the field,
Camren Smith recorded a 15.49m triple jump, finishing in 22
nd.
Sebastian Ikolo logged a 2.07m high jump.
The Titans will prepare for their appearance at the NCAA Outdoor Track & Field Championships in Eugene, Oregon on June 10-13.
