Long Beach, Calif. – The Cal State Fullerton Titans finished in second place at the 2026 Big West Conference Championships. The men's team tallied 152 points while the women posted 126, both taking home the silver.
The Titans totaled 22 medals over the two-day meet. Fullerton took home 10 gold medals; five each, for the men and women. The Titans tallied four silver and eight bronze medals in Long Beach.
Jocelyn Alexander and Hawkin Miller highlighted day one of the 2026 Big West Championships as they each took home a gold medal. Alexander recorded a 57.38m mark in the women's hammer throw. Miller logged an 18.32m shot put, finishing first of 21 athletes.
Alexa Sheldon and Natalie Buffolino also competed in the women's hammer throw and each recorded personal bests. Sheldon logged a 48.60m throw while Buffolino posted 45.83m. Sheldon also made an appearance in the women's shot put where she posted a 12.82m mark. Kayla McNairy logged a personal-best 13.35m shout put and Alexander hit the 13.49m mark.
Judah Withey logged a 15.92m personal-best in the men's shot put and Brayden Bitter logged a 15.85m throw. Bitter also competed in the men's hammer throw where he posted a personal-best 50.33m mark. Miller and Hagop Marmarian also represented the Titans in the hammer throw.
Sydney Roquebrun and Sebastian Ikolo each struck silver in jumps for the Titans on day one. Roquebrun recorded a 6.09m long jump while Ikolo posted a 2.09m high jump.
Maya Osola and Sydney Roquebrun also competed in the women's long jump and Emily Johnson posted a 1.60m high jump. On the men's side, Keith Orona recorded a 2.04m high jump, finishing in fourth and Gabriel Ikolo logged 1.94m. In the men's long jump, Camren Smith finished in fifth with a personal-best 7.44m mark. S. Ikolo and Rahsaan Dozier rounded out the top 10, finishing in ninth and tenth.
On day two, Smith represented Fullerton on the podium. He recorded a 15.60m second place finish in the men's triple jump. Dozier also competed in the men's triple jump, finishing at the 14.85m mark. Roquebrun competed in the women's event and posted a personal-best 11.80m.
Orona and Osola represented Fullerton in the javelin events. Orona logged a 61.81m throw, finishing in fifth, while Osola posted a 35.33m mark.
Both of Fullerton's 4x400m relay teams brought home the gold. Christopher Goode, Parker Harrison, Dominic Gates and Rider Cooper posted a 3:09.66 time in the men's relay. On the women's side, Briyanna Word, Arionn Livingston, Alyssa Heinlein, and Nancy Dematte recorded a 3:39.93 time.
On Friday, Abel Jordan recorded a 14.20, second place time in the men's 110m hurdles qualifiers. He then struck gold on Saturday with a time of 13.67. Jordan also competed in the men's 100m where he finished in second place, behind teammate, Ian Dossman. Dossman nabbed his first of two gold medals on Saturday in the men's 100m dash with a time of 10.02 in the finals.
Dossman recorded his second gold medal in the men's 200m dash. He clocked a program-best 20.20 time. Gates also made the podium with a 20.68 time, finishing in third. Isaiah Emerson and Rider Cooper also qualified for Saturday's 200m dash.
Goode struck gold in the men's 400m with a time of 46.91. Cooper also made his way onto the podium with a 47.18 time. Emerson also qualified for Saturday's race with a time of 47.50 on Friday.
In the women's 400m, Livingston took home first with a speedy time of 53.16. Dematte, who also made it to the finals, finished in third with a time of 53.71 on Saturday. Dematte qualified for the finals after her first-place time of 23.18 on Friday. She posted a 24.00 mark on day two.
Heinlein posted a personal-best golden time of 58.24 in the women's 400m hurdles. Bella Turner also competed and logged a third place 59.20 mark, which was also a personal-best. Turner appeared in the women's 100m hurdles as well, where she clocked a 13.47 time, her second bronze of the day. Jahzara Davis took home gold in the event with a time of 13.12.
The Titans distance runners represented Fullerton in podium fashion on day two. Natalyn Membreno picked up the gold in the 800m with a time of 2:07.80. Ashlynn Viramontes also made her way onto the podium with her 2:08.98 time, placing third. On the men's side, Luke Hitchcock recorded a 1:51.55, third place finish.
All four Titans that competed in the women's 1500m on Friday, qualified for Saturday's finals. Membreno, Isabella Smith, Makena Oliva, and Barbora Svobodova all made an appearance on day two, but Smith was the standout for the Titans. Smith clocked a 4:35.72 time
The Titans will continue their post season by sending a few athletes to the NCAA Regionals on May 27-30 in Fayetteville, Arkansas.
