Fullerton's Historic Season Comes to an End at Stanford Regional

STANFORD, Calif. – Cal State Fullerton finished the NCAA Stanford Regional in 10th place after shooting a 45-over par 897 Monday through Wednesday at the Stanford Golf Course. With the 10th place finish, the Titans historic season comes to an end. 

Davina Xanh led the way for the Titans individually, finishing in 12th place after shooting 1-under par 212. Xanh shot a single-round program record 8-under par 63 in round two of the tournament. The senior wraps up a record setting career at Fullerton, finishing with the most rounds at par or better (65), most career top-20 finishes (35), and lowest career scoring average (72.51). 

Zara Ali placed 46th after shooting 14-over par 227 (70-79-78). Katharina Zeilinger (74-76-79) and Kaitlyn Zermeno Smith (76-73-80) finished the tournament 16-over par 229 to place tied for 47th. Louise Dahl played the first two rounds shooting 78 and 83 before Jordyn Janert stepped in for the final round and shot a 8-over par 80. 

Fullerton finished the historic season with seven top-5 finishes in 10 tournaments played throughout the 2025-26 season and were ranked as high as No. 36 in the country. The Titans earned one team victory this season at the San Diego State Classic where Katharina Zeilinger took home the individual tournament victory. 

Following the impressive season Xanh, Zermeno Smith and Zeilinger were all named All-Big West First Team with Xanh earning her second career Big West Golfer of the Year award. The trio of Xanh, Zeilinger and Zermeno Smith combined for 15 top-10 finishes this season and are the first trio to earn first team conference honors in the same season in program history. Ali also earned Big West Honorable Mention. 

Head Coach Kathryn Hosch was named Big West Co-Coach of the Year after leading the Titans to an outstanding season. Fullerton was ranked as high as No. 36 in the country, the best ranking in program history. 

The three aforementioned seniors had a combined 62 top-20 finishes throughout their four years at Cal State Fullerton along with 42 top-10 placings and 25 top-5 finishes. 

Zermeno Smith ranks third all-time in most rounds at par or better with 34 while Zeilinger ranks fourth all-time with 29. Additionally, Zermeno Smith ranks third in career top-20 finishes with 16 while Zeilinger ranks tied for fifth with 11.
