ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. – Cal State Fullerton women's golf opened the 2026-27 season with a fifth place finish at the Branch Law Firm/Dick McGuire Invitational after shooting 23-over par 887. 

First-year transfer Mitzi Duarte led the Titans individually with a tied for eighth place finish. In her first tournament as a Titan, Duarte shot a 1-under par 215. Duarte shot even par 72 in the first and third rounds with a 1-under par 71 in round two. 

Freshman Vera Lee shot a 4-over par 220 over the course of three rounds to place tied for 20th. After shooting a 4-over par 76, Lee finished strong with an even par 72 in rounds two and three.

Siham Ibrahim placed tied for 28th after shooting 6-over par 222 (75-73-74). Addison Kloch shot a 14-over par 230 (76-80-74) to place tied for 52nd. 

Koa Seymour finished the tournament in 80th place with a score of 33-over 249 (89-80-80). Zara Ali competed as an individual and placed tied for 57th after shooting 15-over par 231 (76-76-79). 

The Titans are back in action next Monday through Wednesday at the Golfweek Red Sky Classic in Wolcott, Colorado.
