FULLERTON, Calif. – Abel Jordan earned his second career Big West Athlete of the Week honor after his impressive performance in the men's 100m at the Texas Relays over the weekend. The senior broke a program record and now stands alone at the top of the conference and top 10 in the country.
The senior from Madrid, Spain, clocked a 10.12 time in the men's 100m preliminary round, qualifying for the finals with his eighth place finish out of 39 athletes. In the finals, Jordan ran another 10.12, finishing in first ahead of four other DI athletes.
Jordan's first-place time erased his previous personal-best time of 10.19 and the old program record of 10.16. Jordan's Texas Relays performance now ranks seventh in the country and first in the Big West conference.
Jordan is the third Titan to earn the weekly honor and the first Male Athlete of the Week for Fullerton this season.
Jordan and the Titans are back in action this Friday when they host the Challenge Cup Classic and celebrate the 2026 seniors.
