D1 Baseball Names Cameron Kim as a Breakout Player to Watch in 2026

FULLERTON, Calif. – First-year transfer Cameron Kim has been picked by D1 Baseball as a breakout player to watch for the 2026 season.

The junior from Jurupa Valley, Calif. transferred to Cal State Fullerton after spending two seasons at UCLA. During his time with the Bruins, Kim had a .250 batting to go along with nine runs and 14 RBI.

"Kim struggled to find consistent playing time at UCLA but he did earn 17 starts over the last two seasons," said D1 Baseball's Mike Rooney. "This is a 6-foot-3, 205-pound with tools for days and there may not be a player in the Big West with more upside than him."

Kim played behind National Player of the Year Roch Cholowsky during his time at UCLA.
