Game Recap: Women's Soccer |

Titans Stay Undefeated with Draw at Home against CSUN

FULLERTON, Calif. - The Cal State Fullerton Titans women's soccer team opened up Big West play with a 0-0 draw at home at Titan Stadium on Sunday night.

The Titans remain undefeated through their first nine games as they moved to 7-0-2 (0-0-1 BWC) for the season.

It was a fairly even matched affair with the Titans outshooting the Matadors by a small advantage, 10-to-8.  The Titans had five shots on goal to the Matadors three shots on goal.

In the first half, the Titans and Matadors both have five shots a piece.  The Titans best chance came in the 20th minute after Isabella Cruz had a small window of opportunity inside of the box but shot it low at the CSUN goalkeeper who made the save.

The Titans had a good opportunity to score to start the second half after a well worked play.  Jenae Perez however couldn't control her shot and sent it wide.  The Titans outshot the Matadors 5-to-3 for the second half.

CSUN was forced to play with 10 men in with five minutes to spare after Paige Califf picked up a second yellow card.  However, it was too late for the Titans to capitalize on the man advantage and both teams shared a point at the end.

Isaac Ranson made three saves for their game as they creep closer to the all-time saves leader record. Ranson now has 311 saves, just one save behind Karen Bardsley 312 saves. Ranson also picked up the 24th shutout of their career.

The Titans head to UC Riverside on Thursday. Kick-off is set for 7:00 p.m.
