BIG WEST RELEASE
IRVINE, Calif. - The Cal State Fullerton women's soccer team was picked to finish fifth in the Big West Conference Preseason Coaches poll it was announced on Thursday. The league also announced the Coaches Preseason All-Big West team with senior midfielder
Isabella Cruz and senior defender
Kaylin Raibon both being selected to the team.
Isabella Cruz is coming off her first All-Big West First team appearance after being second on the Titans in points last year with 12. Cruz had four goals and four assists. Â
Kaylin Raibon was picked for the third consecutive season to the All-Preseason coaches team. She was the only field player to start every game of the Titans last year and scored two goals and had one assist.
Last season's regular season champions the University of Hawai'ii were picked to finish first with 88 points (6 first place votes) while the tournament champions UC Santa Barbara were picked to finish second with 84 points (3 first place votes). Â UCI was picked to finish third with 81 points (1 first place vote) and Long Beach State were picked to finish fourth with 74 points (1 first place vote). Â The Titans were picked to finish in fifth place with 73 points after last year's 6th place finish in the regular season. Â Cal Poly rounds out the top six with 53 points.
The coaches selected 11 players representing ten teams to the 2025 preseason All-Big West Women's Soccer Coaches Preseason Team. The Team consists of eight seniors/graduates, one junior, and two sophomores. Â Nine of the Big West teams had at least one representative with Cal State Fullerton and Hawai'i being the only two teams with multiple representatives.
