INDIANAPOLIS – Redshirt senior
Tegan Andrews is set to make his second career NCAA Regional appearance as an individual at the Reno Regional from May 12-14, the selection committee announced on Wednesday (April 30).Â
The 54-hole regional tournament will take place at the Montreux Golf and Country Club in Reno, Nevada, hosted by Nevada and Reno Sparks Convention and Visitors Authority.Â
Andrews represented Cal State Fullerton at the 2024 NCAA Rancho Santa Fe Regional as an individual, where he shot 19-0ver par 229 (t63rd). The postseason run came after Andrews finished the 2023-24 season as The Big West Golfer of the Year, with three individual wins and two Big West Golfer of the Month awards.
This season, Andrews led the Titans in nine of their 11 tournaments, including their first place finish at the Orange County Classic, and their second place finish at The Big West Championship. Andrews was crowned Co-Champion at the GCU Invitational after a 6-hole playoff against Grand Canyon's Tommaso Zoretto. Andrews shot 9-under par 204, shooting a 66 in the first and final rounds accompanied by 72 strokes in the second round.Â
Andrews was selected as the No. 4 seed out of the five individuals in the Reno Regional. The top five teams and the low individual not on those teams from each regional will advance to the finals.
