FULLERTON, Calif. - The Cal State Fullerton Titans women's basketball lost 71-54 on the road to the UC Davis Aggies at the University Credit Union Center on Saturday afternoon.Â
The Titans were trailing by 23 points at halftime, 45-22.  The Titans outscored the Aggies 32-to-26 in the second half but couldn't over the big deficit from the first half. Â
Aaliyah Stanton led the Titans with 12 points. Â
Aixchel Hernandez was the only other Titan in double figures with 10 points.  UC Davis shot 45% from the floor while the Titans shot 38%.  The Aggies who are the top 3-point team in the conference made 9 threes while the Titans who shoot the fewest amount of threes in the conference made three 3-pointers. The Titans committed a season high 20 turnovers against the Aggies.
The Aggies came out of the gates hot and jumped to an early 11-2 lead to start the game. Â
Madelynn Muniz made the first of her two treys for the game to cut it down to 11-5.Â

The Titans made it an 11-7 game before the Aggies went on a 8-2 run to end the quarter ahead 19-9.
The Aggies outscored the Titans 26-to-13 in the second quarter. The Aggies jumped to a 31-9 lead before the Titans got their first basket in the second quarter with 6:21 in the second quarter.

The Aggies led 45-22 at halftime.Â
The third quarter was much tighter with the Aggies outscoring the Titans 12-to-11.  The Titans scored the first five points of the quarter behind a Muniz triple and an
Aixchel Hernandez layup. The Aggies led 57-33 after the third quarter.Â

The Titans had their best quarter of the game in the fourth quarter as they outscored UC Davis 21-to-14 for the quarter.
Layla Davis scored the first four points of the quarter for the Titans. Davis finished with 9 points in the effort against the Aggies. Â

The Titans held the Aggies to just one basket during the final five minutes as they went on a 10-3 run during the last minutes of the game.
The Titans will remain on the road on Thursday as they head to San Luis Obispo to take on Cal Poly for the first time this season.Â
