Men's Golf Places 14th at Wyoming Desert Intercollegiate

Tegan Andrews (9-under par 207) led the Titans with a shared sixth-place finish

PALM DESERT, Calif. – Cal State Fullerton men's golf finished the Wyoming Desert Intercollegiate in 14th place with a team score of 29-over par 893 on Wednesday at the Classic Club. 

Tegan Andrews led the team individually for the second straight tournament with a 9-under par 207 for a shared sixth place. Andrews shot his best round in the first 18 holes on Monday, finishing the round in 67 strokes. He matched 70 strokes on both the second and third day of play. 

Matthew Schafer tied for 62nd place after shooting 8-over par 224 (73-72-79). Giacomo Comerio placed tied for 77th with a score of 14-over par 230 (75-77-78). Dante Lazare finished in 84th place after shooting 20-over par 236 (74-81-81). 

Will Tanaka shot a 22-over par 238 (80-78-80) to place tied for 86th. Nicky Benton competed as an individual and shot a 28-over par 244 (84-81-79) to place 89th. 

The Titans take a week off before competing in the GCU Invitational hosted by Grand Canyon University in Phoenix, Ariz. on March 10-11.
