SANTA CLARITA, Calif. â Cal State Fullerton women's golf finished the Bruin Wave invitational in eighth place with a score of 58-over par 922 Tuesday afternoon at the Valencia Country Club.Â
Kaitlyn Zermeno Smith led the team individually with a tied for 16th place finish. Zermeno Smith shot a 9-over par 225 (80-71-74). Katharina Zeilinger placed tied for 31st after shooting 14-over par 230 (77-78-75). Davina Xanh shot a 15-over par 231 (76-79-76) to place tied for 35th.Â
Louise Dahl finished the two-day tournament tied for 53rd with a score of 23-over par 239 (79-80-80). Zara Ali finished in 68th place with a 32-over par 248 (86-77-85). Amber Davalos competed as an individual and shot a 31-over par 247 (86-87-74) to place tied for 64th.Â
UCLA took first place in its own tournament after shooting 6-over par 870. The Bruins took first, second and third individually with Francesca Fiorellini winning the tournament with a 9-under par 207.Â
The Titans have about a month off before competing in the Nashville Invitational hosted by Lipscomb Mar. 24-25 at the Hermitage Golf Course.
