TEMPE, ARIZ. - The Cal State Fullertons split Day 2 at the Cross Conference Invitational hosted by Arizona State at the Mona Plummer Aquatics Center. The Titans lost their first game of the day 12-3 against the hosts Arizona State before rebounding back with a 15-11 win over Salem to finish the weekend. Â
Cal State Fullerton 3, Arizona State 12
The Titans had the lead early against the No. 10 Sun Devils before ultimately falling behind as the game went on.  The Titans lead 2-1 after the first three minutes of the game before the Sun Devils scored five straight goals.  The Sun Devils held the Titans scoreless over the second half as they scored six unanswered en route to the 12-3 win over the Titans.
Destiny Hernandez scored twice on two 5-meter penalty goals. Â
Emme Doube-MacLeod also scored for the Titans in the loss. The Titans were able to trot out all three goalkeepers in the game.
Annabelle Sherman got the start and played the first two quarters and made two saves. Â
Sienna Bertsch got the third quarter and made three saves. Â
Alexandra Ortiz played the final frame and made three saves and allowed just one goal.
Destiny Hernandez scored the first goal of the game on a penalty before ASU responded with a penalty goal of their own.Â

The Titans regained the lead after
Emme Doube-MacLeod scored a 6-vs-5 powerplay. Â The Sun Devils then scored twice more before the period ended to take a 3-2 lead after one.Â

The Sun Devils scored the first three goals of the second quarter before Hernandez scored her second goal of the game and the Titans final goal against the Sun Devils.

The Titans trailed 6-3 heading into the halftime break. In the second half, the Titans rotated many of their players in as the Sun Devils outscored them 6-0 over the final two frames to seal the win over the Titans. Â
Cal State Fullerton 15, Salem 11
The Titans had 11 different goal scorers in the win over the Salem Tigers in their final game of the weekend.  The Titans led 7-3 at halftime and stretched the lead to 13-6 after the third quarter.  The Titans were once again able to rotate heavy in the second half as the Tigers made a late comeback outscoring the Titans 5-to-2 in the final frame.
Destiny Hernandez led the Titans with 6 points after scoring twice and tallying 4 assists. Â
Lacey Hall scored a hat trick for the Titans in the game. Â
Eden Tal was the other Titan to register a multi-goal game with two. Â

Ava Lisitza, and
Ileina Hatori all scored for the Titans as well in the game.
Mia Solorzano opened the scoring for the Titans in the first quarter as they outscored the Tigers 5-to-2 for the quarter.

The second quarter was the tightest quarter between the sides as the Titans outscored Salem 2-to-1 in the quarter.

Both sides traded two goals a piece to start the third quarter before the Titans went on a 3-0 run against a gassed Salem defense. Â Â

The Titans and Tigers traded one more goal a piece to finish the third quarter with the Titans ahead 13-to-6. In the fourth quarter,
Lacey Hall was able to finish off her hat trick while the Tigers outscored the Titans 5-to-2 for the period.

After playing the last 10 games on the road, the Titans will return back to Fullerton on Wednesday.
