Dossman Breaks School Record in Season Opener

Ian Dossman and the Titans recorded an impressive start in their season opener at the Silver State Invite.

Reno, Nev. – The Titans competed in the first day of their first meet on Friday at the University of Nevada. Fullerton accumulated three podium finishes in day one of the Silver State Invitational.
 
Ian Dossman headlined the day for the Titans with his record-breaking first place finish in the mens 200m dash. Dossman's 20.57 mark is also the new facilities record in the NCAA 200m. Maleik Pabon, Rider Cooper and Parker Harrison were alongside Dossman, each finishing in the top 10.
 
On the women's side of the 200m, Nancy Dematte led the Titans with her time of 24.67, finishing in 14th. Alyssa Heinlein, Brooklyn Davis, and Bella Turner also competed in the womens 200 dash with Dematte.
 
Arionn Livingston tallied Fullerton's second first place finish of the day with her 55.70 time in the women's 400m dash. Livingston led the 32 participants and was just .08 seconds short of beating her current personal best.
 
On the men's side of the 400 dash, Parker Harrison led with his 48.61 fourth place finish. Dominic Gates was right behind, finishing in sixth with a time of 50.26.
 
The men's long jump was a close one for the Titans as Sebastian Ikolo and Camren Smith tied for fourth place. The pair of Titans tied at the 6.96m mark. Andrew Cornthwaite finished in sixth at 6.84m and Keith Orona logged a 6.66m ninth place finish. For the women, Sydney Roquebrun recorded a ninth place finish with her 5.64m mark that put her in second place all-time in the Titans record book. Olivia Walker tallied a 5.40m finish while Mayalee Osola logged 5.34. Both Walker and Osola also wrote their names in the Titans record book at the five and six spots.
 
The Titans rounded out their podium finishes in the men's high jump where Sebastian Ikolo and Keith Orona each logged a 2.05 mark. Ikolo finished in second place and Orona in fifth.  Carissa Martinez, Walker, Osola and Emily Johnson represented the Titans in the womens high jump and Martinez led the pack, recording a 1.57 mark, finishing in 13th.
 
The Titans are back in action tomorrow when they close out the Silver State Invite.
