Coach Barosso and Two Titans Earn Annual MPSF Honors

Marques Barosso, Arionn Livingston, and Abel Jordan earned MPSF annual honors after historic indoor track and field season.

FULLERTON, Calif. – After a historic indoor track and field season, the Titans were awarded for their success. Head coach Marques Barosso was named MPSF Men's Head Coach of the Year while Arionn Livingston and Abel Jordan were named MPSF Athletes of the Year on Friday morning.

In his fifth year of as head coach, Barosso led the Titans to their first ever championship title for the men's team and a third place finish for the women's team which was their highest finish in program history.

The men's team finished with 191 points, 21 points ahead of the second place Long Beach State at the MPSF Championships earlier this week. Barosso coached the Titans men's team to seven gold medals at the championships.

Two of the men's gold medals were earned by the 2026 MPSF Men's Athlete of the Year, Abel Jordan. Jordan broke multiple records and led the Titans with gold medals in the 60m dash and 60m hurdles at the MPSF Championships. Jordan's 6.57 time in the 60m dash was a career-best, broke a school record, and is nationally ranked No. 22. His 60m hurdles 7.71 performance was the fastest in the MPSF Spokane-Reno era.

He competed in four meets this season, recording a podium finish in each of his appearances. Jordan logged a third place 6.78 60m dash at the first meet of the season and then placed first at the Nevada Invitational in the 60m hurdles before his second place, nationally-ranked 7.87 performance at the New Mexico Collegiate Classic. Jordan is not a new name in the MPSF, as he has been named MPSF Athlete of the Week four times, but this is his first Athlete of the Year honor.

Livingston won the annual honor for the women's side after her impressive performance at the MPSF Championships. Livingston tallied two individual titles while also contributing to the golden 4x400m relay team. She scored gold in the 200m and 400m events with career-bests 23.90 and 53.55. Livingston competed on the women's 4x400m relay team and logged a 3:37.87 finish. She earned five titles during the 2026 indoor season, leading to her first ever MPSF award.
