Titans Fall at Claremont-Mudd-Scripps

CLAREMONT, Calif. — Cal State Fullerton men's water polo fell 13-9 to Claremont-Mudd-Scripps Wednesday night on the road despite a career-high four goals from Alec Isaacman. The result drops the Titans to 4-8 on the season.

Fullerton jumped to a 2-0 lead early with goals by Francisco Paredes and Togan Ozbek. But the Stags responded with four unanswered before a Zack Ewing score made it 4-3 for CMS. Isaacman and Bende Aubeli traded scores in the second half, but the Stags held a 5-4 lead at the break. 

After falling behind 9-6 in the third, Isaacman added another goal to bring the Titans within two, 9-7, heading into the final period. Isaacman scored two more in the fourth but the Stags held on for the 13-9 win. 

The Titans return home this weekend for the Fullerton Mini Tournament on Saturday, Sept. 28. Fullerton will first take on Redlands at 9:00 a.m. PT then Biola at 3:00 p.m. PT.
