ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. â Cal State Fullerton women's golf placed fourth in its opening tournament after shooting 12-over par 876 Monday and Tuesday at the Branch Law Firm/Dick McGuire Invitational.Â
Reigning Big West Golfer of the Year, Davina Xanh, picked up right where she left off last season. Xanh finished tied for third with a score of 6-under par 210 (67-72-71). Xanh has finished in the top-10 in 11 consecutive tournaments dating back to last season.Â
Katharina Zeilinger earned her career-best finish after placing tied for seventh with an even par 216 (68-75-73). Zeilinger's previous best tournament placing was tied for 18th in Sept. 2023.Â
Zara Ali and Kaitlyn Zermeno Smith tied for 43rd place after shooting 11-over par 227. Ali shot 79-76-72 while Zermeno Smith shot 76-72-79. In her first tournament with the Titans, Louise Dahl placed tied for 55th with a score of 14-over par 230 (78-75-77).Â
Fullerton is back in action Sept. 23 and 24 at the Colonel Wollenberg Ptarmigan Ram Classic hosted by Colorado State in Fort Collins, Colo.
