LA QUINTA, Calif. - Cal State Fullerton men's golf took second place at the 2024 Big West Championship at La Quinta Country Club on Tuesday after shooting 10-under par 854. As a team, the Titans were four strokes away from Long Beach State, who finished first with a score of 14-under par 850.
Tegan Andrews (14-under par 202) claimed the Big West Men's Golf individual championship and entry into the NCAA regional field.Â

Andrews tied his career-best round of 63 strokes in the opening 18 holes on Sunday. He knocked in a championship-wide high of 18 birdies. Andrews finished the tournament one stroke shy of tying his career-best finish of 201 strokes (Nick Watney Invitational, Sept. 25-26, 2023).
Garrett Boe finished tied for 8th place with an even-par 216. Boe continuously improved each round, shaving off three strokes per day (75-72-69).Â
Trevor McNary golfed 3-over par 219 to finish tied for 15th with three other golfers. Like Boe, McNary became more effective each round (74-73-72).Â
Russell Howlett and
Howard Yoon completed the team for the Titans. Howlett tied for 20th place with a score of 5-over par 221 (69-75-77). Howlett led the championship with three eagles. Yoon finished tied for 27th after shooting an 8-over par 224 (76-71-77).Â
The Titans complete their season with eight top-three finishes and four first-place finishes.
