AUSTIN, Texas — Cal State Fullerton outdoor track and field's men's 4x100m team placed fourth Saturday to highlight the team's final day showing at the Texas Relays.
The Titans' men's 4x100m relay team, built of Alonzo Floriolli, Abel Jordan, Ian Dossman and Dominic Gates, placed fourth in the final with a time of 39.35. The mark is the second fastest in program history, behind the 39.26 it ran earlier this season. The relay squad placed fourth behind track powerhouses Texas, Texas Tech and Cal, while beating out New Orleans, Arizona State, Purdue and BYU.Â
Fullerton's men's 4x400m relay team finished fifth on finals day, clocking a 3:10.14. The squad was composed of Isaiah Emerson, Chris Goode, Dossman and Maleik Pabon. Its mark is a top-10 time in school history.Â
In the men's 110H final, Jordan placed seventh after posting a 13.79, the second fastest in school history. School record holder Joshua Hornsby took eighth with a 13.94.Â
The Titans also featured several distance runners competing at the Mark Fanelli Track Classic in Hayward, California, including Jonathan Pfeiffer. Pfeiffer broke the school record in the men's 800m with a time of 1:49.84, becoming the first Titan ever to run the event in under 1:50.00. He raced to a second-place finish.Â
Marco Perez placed fifth in the men's 5000m after clocking a 14:16.00. Mia Bergman finished 19th in the women's 800m, posting a time of 2:12.84.Â
Additionally, Fullerton had a number of strong performances on the final day of competition at the Bobcat Invitational in San Marcos, Texas. Rayann Booker placed sixth in the women's 100m with a time of 11.73, a top-10 mark in program history. Aryianna Faircloth took 29th with a 12.01.Â
Nancy Dematte raced to a 21st place finish in the women's 400m, clocking a 55.91. Evalen Garcia took 19th in section A of the women's hammer, throwing for a mark of 49.33m.
Up next, Fullerton returns to competition next weekend, Apr. 5-6, at the Triton Invitational in La Jolla.Â
