Titan Hurdlers Open Competition in Texas

AUSTIN, Texas — Reyte Rash qualified for the men's 400H Thursday to highlight Cal State Fullerton outdoor track and field's day one showing at the Texas Relays. 

Rash ran a time of 51.35 in the second heat of the 400H prelims, finishing fifth overall to claim a spot in tomorrow's finals. Rash's time is the third fastest in program history. Donovan Garcia finished 25th in the event, running a 53.34. In the men's 400H timed final, Andrew Aguilar placed eighth after clocking a 53.25. 

On the women's side, Mia Reid placed 31st in the 400H prelims with a time of 1:01.98. In the women's 400H timed final, Alyssa Heinlein finished second after posting a 1:00.03. The mark is a top-10 time in program history. 

The Titans also had one competitor at the Bobcat Invitational in San Marcos, Texas, in Justice Mephors. Mephors finished 13th in the men's discus after throwing for a mark of 51.42m. 

Fullerton remains in Texas to continue competing in the Texas Relays and Bobcat Invitational through Saturday, Mar. 30. The Titans will also feature five distance runners in the Stanford Invitational beginning tomorrow, Friday, Mar. 29, through Saturday.
