PHOENIX – Cal State Fullerton women's golf had its best performance of the season, finishing the Grand Canyon Invitational in third place Wednesday afternoon at the GCU Golf Course. 

The Titans improved round-by-round throughout the tournament, shooting a 292 in the first round followed by a 287 in round two and an impressive 273 in the third and final round. Fullerton was tied for seventh at the conclusion of day one. 

Kajsa Landstrom had her best showing as a Titan, placing tied for third individually after shooting 9-under par 207 (70-69-68). All three of Landstrom's rounds are career-bests, surpassing her previous best of 71. Landstrom's score of 207 is also a career-best tournament score, surpassing her previous best of 223. 

Davina Xanh shot a 5-under par 211 (70-72-69) to place tied for ninth. Xanh has placed in the top 10 in each of the Titans six tournaments this season. 

Gabby Minier placed tied for 31st after shooting 2-over par 218 (78-73-67). Kaitlyn Zermeno Smith shot a 5-over par 221 (76-76-69) to finish the tournament tied for 48th. Zara Ali placed tied for 59th with a score of (76-73-74).

The Titans are back in action Mar. 16&17 at the Red Rocks Invitational in Sedona, Ariz.
