Titans Place Ninth at Columbia Classic

MELBOURNE, Fla. – Cal State Fullerton Women's Golf finished the Columbia Classic Monday afternoon in ninth place with a final team score of 44-over par 908. 

Davina Xanh led the team individually with a tied for 10th place finish after shooting 3-over par 219 (78-69-72). Xanh has finished in the top 10 in each of the five tournaments this season. 

Katharina Zeilinger placed tied for 36th with a 13-over par 229 (75-79-75). Kaitlyn Zermeno Smith finished the tournament tied for 40th with a score of 14-over par 230 (75-79-76). 

Freshman Zara Ali shot a 19-over par 235 (82-78-75) to finish the Columbia Classic tied for 52nd. Linley Ooi placed tied for 57th after shooting 20-over par 236 (77-80-79). 

Yale took home the team title with a 7-over par 871 while Michelle Cox of Penn State took first place individually with a 9-under par 207. 

The Titans have two weeks off before returning to action Feb. 27 and 28 at the Grand Canyon Invitational in Phoenix, Ariz.
