FULLERTON, Calif . - The Cal State Fullerton women's basketball team finally picked up their first win of the season in a dominant 80-39 victory over the Chapman Panthers on Saturday at Titan Gym.
The Titans scored a season high 80 points and held an opponent under 40 points for the first time since 12/23/2017 when the Titans held Utah Valley to 36 points. The Titans shot above 50 percent at 50.8% (33-for-65) for the first time all season. They had 11 steals which led to 22 points off Chapman turnovers and also won the battle of the boards at a 43-36 advantage. They also had a season high 17 assists for the game.
Eva Levingston had a monster game tying a career high 16 points and hauling in a career high 17 rebounds.Â
Aaliyah Stanton led all scorers with 18 points and
Maddy Tauro led the second unit with 13 points, 4 steals, 4 assists, and 4 rebounds. Â
The Titans got off an 11-0 lead to start the game behind Levingston, Stanton, and
Demonnie Lagway. Â

The Titans ended up leading 26-6 after the first quarter with
Maddy Tauro and
Aaliyah Stanton scoring 6 points a piece in the quarter.

The second quarter was more even with the Titans outscoring Chapman 16-to-14 for the quarter.  The Titans led 42-20 at the halftime break.
In the third quarter, the Titans defense shutdown Chapman as they outscored them 16-to-4 for the quarter.Â
Eva Levingston went off with 8 points in the quarter and also going 4-for-5 from the floor. Â

The Titans led 58-to-24 after the third quarter.
In the fourth quarter, the Titans were able to rest most of their starters and still outscored Chapman 22-to-15 for the quarter.Â
Aaliyah Stanton was 3-for-3 from the field and scored 8 of her 18 points during the fourth quarter.

Jana Falsdottir put the final ribbon on the game after hitting a 3-pointer and immediately stealing the ball for an easy layup to give the Titans a 41-point lead.

The Titans will take a break before returning to action in 15 days when they host Bethesda for their final non-conference game of the season on December 29th.
