KAPOLEI, Hawaii ā For the second time in her young career, Davina Xanh earned a share of first place after shooting 7-under par 209 at the Rainbow Wahine Invitational.Ā
After the first two rounds Monday and Tuesday, Xanh was in 11th place with a score of even par 144. The sophomore came storming back in the third and final round Wednesday afternoon, shooting an impressive 7-under par 65. Xanh ended the tournament in a tie for first place with Rosie Belsham of Baylor.Ā
As a team the Titans finished the Rainbow Wahine Invitational in fourth place with a team score of 9-over par 873. Baylor took first place with a 20-under par 844.Ā
Kaitlyn Zermeno Smith wrapped up the tournament tied for 15th after shooting even par 216, both of which are career-bests. Zermeno Smith shot a 74 in the first round followed by a 71 in rounds two and three.Ā
In her first tournament this season, Kajsa Landstrom placed tied for 33rd with a score of 7-over par 223. Landstrom greatly improved as the tournament went on, shooting a 78 in round one followed by a 74 in round two and a 71 in the third and final round.Ā
Gabby Minier shot a 9-over par 225 to finish the tournament tied for 45th (76-72-77). Zara Ali, who competed as an individual placed tied for 50th after shooting 10-over par 226 (75-80-71).Ā
The Rainbow Wahine Invitational was the Titans final tournament of the fall seasons. Fullerton returns to action Jan. 29 in a matchplay event against California Baptist.
