Cruz Scores Last Second PK to Give Titans 1-0 Win Over San Francisco

Box Score

FULLERTON, Calif. – With six second left in the match and the game tied at 0-0, Sebastian Cruz stepped up to the ball on a penalty kick and buried the game-winning goal to defeat San Francisco 1-0 Friday night at Titan Stadium.

Cruz showed his poise with six seconds left in the match and the game on the line. Earlier in the match he had a penalty kick saved but he didn't let that affect him the second time around.

After battling tough to start the season, Fullerton earned its first win of the season to improve to 1-4-1 on the year. San Francisco is now 1-4.

The Titans had several chances throughout the match as they outshot San Francisco 21-7. Fullerton was on the attack early and often, earning seven corner kicks to the Dons two.

Jose Espino got the start in goal and made three key saves to shut out San Francisco and give Fullerton the opportunity to win the match late.

The Titans are back in action Sunday evening against San Diego with kickoff set for 5:00 p.m. at Titan Stadium.
